Going on 15 years ago, Dr. Weingrad successfully excised my DCIS. Then came the hard part--biopsy results fell into a gray area. Did I have cancer, or not? Dr. Weingrad met with other clinicians to discuss my case and finally, on his own, turned to Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York for a second opinion. Meanwhile we scheduled far more invasive surgery.
