I must have seen a different doctor than the one the reviews have described. He showed absolutely no compassion until I mentioned the medication I had already been prescribed by previous neurologists I had seen in Dallas. When I told him what I was being tested for in Dallas his comment was “well I don’t know how they do things in Dallas, but…” and shut down any other information I was sharing as far as previous testing or concerns my prior neurologist from Dallas had. Dr. Shibuya was quick to dismiss my medical concerns, showed a complete lack of empathy, demanded I give reasons for my current prescription medication and rudely questioned me about pain medication given to me in the ER.
Dr. Shibuya has shown genuine care and concern for me regarding my epilepsy; and actually listens to me and looks me in the eye when we have a discussion. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs a good neurologist and a decent human being.
We appreciated how professional, kind, and available Dr. Shibuya was re: communication, clarity, bedside manner, medical tests. Thank you!
