I just learned of Dr. Maccurdy’s retirement when calling the office number. I couldn’t be more sad. I was a patient of his for many years and know that I will never find another Dr. like him. He’s an excellent Dr. and surgeon. The new generation of Dr.’s will never possess the wisdom and the out of the box thinking that Dr. Maccurdy had. For those complaining about not being able to retrieve medical records there are instructions when calling the office number.
I was a patient of Dr Maccurdy for many years. I called recently to schedule an appointment and was sorry to hear a recorded message that Dr. Maccurdy is no longer practicing. There was no notification to me as a patient that he was leaving his practice. There was no referral for any follow-up to another physician for future visits. He just left! Very disappointing.
Was my doctor for years -- retired suddenly, no warning, so no provisions for patients on maintenance meds, no way to obtain medical records. Cannot reach his old office to leave a voicemail and cannot fax. What a terrible way to end what was a good career, treating people like this.
Not a great experience when all he wants to do is push vitamins
I've been going to doctor MacCurdy for over 10 years. He is a great doctor and surgeon - glad he was in charge of my operation. He speaks very low and monotone - so you have to pay close attention to what he says. He's funny and makes the uncomfortable visit bearable!!
I have been a patient for many years and have only good things to say. I feel my concerns are listened to and addressed which is rare in todays world.
Dr. MacCurdy is a great OB! I have seen since I became pregnant with my son who is now 9 months old! He is a no nonsense kinda guy who loves to chat and is truley concerned about his patients! I'm so happy we found him!
Dr MacCurdy is a brilliant doctor and surgeon. Along with his brilliance comes some quirks, one of which is being long winded. He genuinely cares about the total well being of his patients and has very strong morals and ethics he adheres to. I have been with him for almost ten years now (I can't believe it's been that long!) and have never felt like a number or that my well being took second place in any way as I have felt at other practices.
He spent 20 minutes talking about vitamins that i was not interested in, when he could have taken the time to talk about my lab results and answer some of my questions.
