Responding to the post by Nicole Virant, I reached out on March 27, 2026 by phone. I was told that I would receive a prompt response to our issues. Nothing. I wrote by mail on May 8, 2026 to the same division. No response. I contacted Dr. Kaplan on June 26, 2026 by mail. Still nothing. Your organization apparently only takes issues seriously if it i for the public to see. I am contacting your accreditor, the Joint Commission tomorrow. I do believe they will take our complaints more seriously. Thanks for replying on Friday.
Highly advise against using this doctor. Does not seem to care about patient’s best interests nor has availability in Green Bay. My daughter’s father wrote letters to UW Health about our serious concerns and not one person followed up. Go elsewhere if you can.
Dr. O'Connell is compassionate, knowledgeable and a good communicator. He listens to us as parents and to our daughter as the patient. He truly cares about my daughter's overall health and takes his time explaining things to us so we can understand what is going on. Thanks very much Dr. O'Connell. We are thankful that our daughter is your patient.
