Dr. Mullen is the BEST! Ten years ago I had severe pain in my left hip and leg. I couldn't even lift my foot onto a curb. After a shot of cortisone, I left othe office with no pain and it lasted for the past ten years. The bursitis returned a few weeks ago so went back today. The same thing! I left his office with no pain again. I am very happy. I want to add how courteous and professional the office staff and the back office staff are
I'm writing this review a bit late—about eight months after the fact—but I wanted to share what a truly positive experience my father, Richard Wiekhorst, had with Dr. Mullen. At 79 years old, he underwent shoulder replacement surgery and everything went exceptionally well. Remarkably, he experienced very little pain after the procedure. This doctor is a danger to his patience. my mother in law fell after surgery and when we reached out to him for help his response was "Is there anyone else in this family I am going to have to deal with" when I explained further how bad the situation we are in he told me he wouldn't help us until I apologize, and hung up. My mother in law is still in pain, can't take care of herself and is needing 24 hour care. We will be reporting his behavior the boards ASAP
I'll keep this brief and fair. Dr. Mullen is clearly a highly skilled surgeon—he's operated on both a family member and a friend with excellent outcomes for their knees and hips. However, his bedside (or rather, phone-side) manner could use improvement. My son, who is 18, had a recent workplace accident. He has a pre-existing knee condition that Dr. Mullen diagnosed last year—unrelated to the accident—and recommended surgery for. Dr Mullen admitted dropping me in surgery breaking my arm and cutting my radial nerve in another surgery just be careful he lies He called me and told me that he dropped me in surgery breaking my arm not telling me until just a couple months ago April 20 2025, surgery was quite some time ago 2023, and Dr Mullen told me that he admitted it to his insurance company.
