Dan Lundy spent an entire session berating and yelling at my vulnerable and struggling teenage daughter telling her she wouldn’t amount to anything and if he were her parents, he would send her away, amongst other things. It was intended to be a family session and we left in complete shock feeling betrayed and bereft. Not to mention the damage it did to my daughter’s trust. Beware.
This provider was judgemental, cruel, uncaring and unprofessional. He had the audacity to call my 12 year old son a "thug" because he had ADHD and other related difficulties as well as had just suffered the death of his grandfather. I found this counselor to be horrific; lacking compassion, professionalism and empathy. Bear in mind i am also a counselor which makes me all the more cognizant of how an adolescent patient should be treated. I would not recommend especially vulnerabl children.
