Literally a yes man for the insurance company. I wonder if they have ever ruled in favor of the insured in an external review. I am going to guess NO.

This employer is a horrible place to work. The Accounting Manager is a liar; she tried to intimidate me after I took time off to go to the Dentist/Dr appts. When I put her in her place letting her know that I do have the right to take care of myself and that I wasn’t her slave, she got me fired over a lack of performance lie. You work like a “bulldog” at that place; I pay for my insurance, it makes no sense how I can’t use it. The person that did my evaluation apparently did not read my medical records. He got the diagnosis codes wrong. He failed to reach out to either myself or my physician, and decided that I did not need a medication that I had been taking for 23 years. In addition he failed to recognize that even though the medication was not a narcotic, sudden withdrawal can cause severe withdrawal effects and extreme illness. This company is a joke and employs at least one incompetent charlatan.

Hard to get someone in the external reviews on the phone. The doctor chosen to do the external review didn’t seem to review anything other than the internal appeal decision. This doctor used the same exact verbiage from the original appeal. None of the wording from the external appeal made any sense and completely contradicted the letter my doctor from the Mayo Clinic wrote. This place feels like a scam and is not looking at any documentation submitted and just agreeing with Blue Cross Blue Sheild on a denial for a procedure... read more
