Bob is the BEST maître de and this is in Western Mass? Great food on a Sat busy night. Every table filled. The chef brought out a dish of uncut meat to show us the cuts before ordering.
A fine restaurant with an interesting menu. We had appetizers only this evening. The Thai shrimp were U 15 or larger in a Thai sauce with swiss chard. Excellent. We also ordered fried oysters, perfectly fried with a rumulade(sp) sauce and fried Brussel Sprouts. Dana (owner/chef) chatted with us a time and went back in the kitchen and made us a "golf ball" dessert. A donut like batter with melted fudgy chucolate inside. Delish! Beautiful place, nice decor and friendly staff...with some knockout food to match.
We always feel very welcomed at Dana's. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. The food is outstanding and worth every penny. Dana likes to make sure his customers are satisfied himself and often walks around and meets his guests. This to me speaks volumes in a time when costumer satisfaction is a thing of the past. We go to Dan's often and are always pleased. Go here if you want exemplary food and a wonderful dining experience.
