My experience with the Dana at the Cancer Center in Chestnut Hill has been incredibly disgusting. My mom was starting cancer treatment, and we were told multiple times that her insurance was fully covered — “zero dollars out of pocket.” Based on that, they booked her appointments and surgery. I was treated at Dana Farber for stage IV lymphoma at age 22 and I can honestly say the team there saved my life. Most of the nurses were absolutely incredible. I only had one who wasn’t the best fit for me, but they swapped her out quickly and gave me the most amazing all women team (INCREDIBLE??) Once my team was established, I felt completely comfortable and supported. I built such strong relationships with each of them. Are you a cancer patient coming here for a second opinion? Beware, the administration of this place is awful and the billing department is the rudest in the world. They will cause you stress that you don't need in your situation. Think twice about coming here.
My father is still around cancer free in 2025 after a diagnosis that the original doctor advised was terminal in 2018. Forever grateful for everyone at Dana Farber. Best wishes to everyone who is a patient here
