Amazing place to swim, picnic and spend time taking in nature.
We had an absolute blast! The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. Plenty of places to pull off and picnic.
What a great day on the Dan River with Dan River Company! The river is absolutely beautiful, with amazing rock cliffs and clear water. For just $20, the owner provided shuttle service to a private inlet, and gave a very informative ride upriver. The float back to the car was smooth and easy for beginner paddlers. My friends and I had a fantastic time and took some great pictures. Dan River Company was such a pleasure to work with! They called me back right away, answered all my questions, and were just genuinely enjoyable to talk to. I was a little late and they were more than accommodating and gave me grace. When I got there, the shuttle driver was super friendly, loaded my gear, and walked us through what to expect on the float.
