The whole experience was great start to finish. Questions were answered quickly and when we arrived there was only a short wait before we were headed to the river. The equipment was in good repair, the staff was friendly and the trip was beautiful. Me and the wife will be doing this again!
The DRC sets you up with everything you need for a great day on the beautiful Dan River. They provide easy online booking and professional, friendly, and courteous service. Be sure to stick around after your day on the river to enjoy a cold beverage on the deck at Green Heron Ale House or on the rocks down at the river. It’s a perfect summer day!

Great way to take a beautiful float on a hot day! It's best to check the Dan River water flow at Francisco before taking your ride. A higher-than-average water flow (1.4+ like it was for me) makes for a better float, hitting fewer rocks in the shallower areas.
This was one of the better day trips i have been on in NC. The whole experience was so rejuvenating and the staff was extremely friendly. When we arrived, we signed some paperwork and then loaded onto a van where the kind staff member drove us to the drop off point and gave us great tips about navigating the river.
