We hired this guy, Dan Chajkowski, in December 2017 to do a major home renovation. The project was large and involved every room in our 1880s farmhouse. Dan breached our contract by walking off the job December 26, 2018 after being 6 months past the May 2018 completion date in our contract. Dan filed for bankruptcy in November 2017 and did not advise us of this information when we hired him I. December 2018. In April 2017, I hired Dan Chajkoski to fix my roof. The original scope of work included installing a metal roof on one part of the house and rubber on the other. After our due diligence (references, insurance check, reviews, proper licensing, etc.), we awarded him the job. As the job advanced, we realized we needed new trusses. Dan and I agreed on a new scope of work and price point. During the construction, it became obvious that Dan is not a professional and knew very little about home construction.
