Zero stars if possible ! Came out to do a visit wasted 4 hrs of my time, chased several times for the quote and was rudely emailed by Sharon Barker, saying they had a “back log” of work, yet still managed to waste my time in coming to sell me everything under the sun! Would not recommend this circus of a company

Shane arrived on time as arranged. The problem was not one that they could help with and his honest appraisal is a good indication of Damproof 1’s integrity. Without prompting, they also sent me a follow up email with a recommendation for a roofer who may be able to help. A usually professional approach, rarely encountered these days. I would feel very comfortable using them in future.

Got a £60 damp survey from them - surveyor didn’t really listed to anything I had to say, clearly wasn’t keen on the job and then proposed such a bonkers quote for remediation that it seemed like they wanted to deliberately discourage me from using them to do the job, but we’ll keep your money for the survey. Then never returned my calls when I wanted to query it. Avoid.

I cannot comment on the actual work of this company, but can confirm they are overpriced and very unresponsive and slow. The estate agent arranged for Damp Proof 1 to do a survey and offer a quotation. After waiting several week and chasing several times, we received the survey and quote. The survey was very thorough - but a joke. It was for over £20k work and they were going to install materials that were not right for such an old house.
