Scheduled an appointment in Acton, told to check in via phone. Waited on hold for 7 minutes before being connected to the corporate office to do the check in. Spent ten minutes on the phone with corporate providing my medical history and was told I could go in to the office. The secretary then told me the doctor was running a half hour behind schedule and I would need to rebook my appointment SIX MONTHS OUT. Why can’t I wait? Why are you telling me this 15 minutes AFTER my appointment was scheduled?
I have been with D'Ambrosio on Powder Mill Rd for years and it has always been great, until approx. 1 year ago. I made an appointment for the Fall in 2025 and without calling me I get a text message (later a letter in the mail) that my appointment has been rescheduled to March 31 2026 4-5 months later! Additionally, without calling me they scheduled my appointment in the middle of the day, very inconvenient for me due to meetings, and the fact my eyes will be dilated! Nice staff, horrible prices and value. Costed over 500 just for lenses which scratched after single use the following 9 months. Was asked to pay for replacements.
I haven’t used the ophthalmology side of the house yet, but the eye wear sales and service side is excellent, especially if you prefer that rather finicky Silhouette brand.
