Dallas County Veterinary Hosp is the worst animal clinic ever!! we have taken our dogs here numerous times. each time they charge out the arse and don't fix the problem. for example, we took one of our dogs there for removal of some tumors. they were supposed to remove them all but only took one. we didn't find this out until after we had paid and picked our dog up. when we asked why they didn't take them all off they said the other tumors wouldn't be a problem. needless to say we were back in there a few months later to get... read more

Mesquite Texas Pet Care My family has used Dallas County Veterinary Hospital for our many pets over the past 15 plus years. We have only had the best of experiences and highly recommend their services. I find their prices to be average with some savings when seeing several pets at a time. They are not to be considered a bargain in pricing but they are diverse, knowledgable, and experienced. They are sincere, helpful, personable, seem to have a genuine concern for your pet.

I love my Vet! Dr. Penny Claus is a wonderful veterinarian and I am so happy to have chosen her to treat my animals when we moved here 5 years ago. She takes the time to answer all questions and never makes me feel rushed. She cares about each of my animals' (4 dogs, 1 cat) individual quirks and is always happy to discuss issues that I may have. The Dallas County office staff is great (especially Shirley!) and they go above and beyond on a regular basis!

Love this place I have been taking my animals to Dr. Shurtleff for 12 or so years now. I have been very pleased with the service he and his whole staff have provided. They are a little pricy but well worth it to know that my beloved pets are taken good care of.

Best Ever The doctors are very friendly and the nurses are charming to the pets. My puppy "Otis" LOVES when the nurses and front desk staff greet him. The doctors are very knowledgeable and very light on my pocket book.

Amazing Doctors.. Amazing Staff DCV has been AMAZING. We have two dogs we adopted about 7 years ago (Eli and Lily) The wonderful people there know our dogs and make us feel like they sincerely care - and I know they do. Eli has some pretty heavy duty allergy issues which has resulted in thousands of dollars of care, meds and even prescription dog food. I have no doubts that we would have paid double that somewhere else. I can't even begin to describe how wonderful the doctors are staff are here. We drive 30 minutes from our ... read more

Response to Kristen M. I just want to respond to Kristen M.'s statements about dispensing heartworm preventative as I think this is what actually upset her. The state of Texas sets laws by which we have to follow. No veterinarian can legally dispense a prescription drug without first establishing a "doctor-patient relationship". This has been defined as an examination of the animal and a recording of their weight, temperature, and physical condition. This requirement is to protect the patient. Prescription drugs can have unw... read more

Wonderful staff I have been taking my dogs to the Dallas County Veterinary Hosp since 1986. Dr. Shurtleff and Dr. Clauss help me with making the right choices for the best treatment for my doggies. The techs and staff are always courteous, friendly and prompt in getting answers to my questions by phone.
