I arrived at 0800 to register my car with incomplete paperwork and out-of-state title transfer documentation. Was helped by 3 kind staff members and was out of the building by 0830 with plates, registration, and the new title coming via mail.

At other tax offices I’ve visited, especially in areas that make it a point to recognize veterans, there’s a clear sense of appreciation and priority. But at the Oak Cliff Dallas County Tax Office on Jefferson Blvd, that wasn’t the case. No acknowledgment, no veteran-friendly services, just a cold, impersonal experience. I was already on guard because of people complaining in the reviews. But my experience was normal. The security guard lady helped me check in… she just asked why I was there which was to renew my registration. Waited for about 20 mins for my number to be called. The person that helped me was not like super friendly but she wasn’t rude. I understand that their job is so fast paced that some just make it robotic. It is what it is. No complaints
