I was admitted there from St. Pat's ER (my choice). It was amazing how much the staff helped me. I have mental health issues and usually am recluse. I was out of my room the first night I was there. It really helped with having more of a "home" environment, unlike Providence where you're just treated horribly. The staff helped me with learning techniques to help calm my anxiety and to start helping me with sleeping. They were out of the offices interacting with the patients. It is negligent and dangerous to promise clients a follow up phone call and then neither do it or provide promised resources after the client called back themselves ( three times without getting the promised help)
Once upon a time I trusted this place, and it a was a life saver. This time I went in with some self harming feelings, and they called the police on me, and I was taken to providence. If I wanted to go to providence, I would have... this place has outlived its usefulness to missoula. Regulations, budget cuts, and the current staff have destroyed this once safe place to turn for help.
