Dr. Vaughn-Whitley is top-notch and knows her field. I agree with the other posts--she takes time to listen, is thorough, and does an excellent job of taking all the information from the history to piece together her assessment/diagnosis and course of action. She explains things well and does not talk down to her patients. We really appreciated her conservative approach in keeping with published ACC guidelines. Great experience--even the office staff are people you'd enjoy as friends.
Dr. Whitley - doesn't rush you thru the appointment, taking the time to fine out all the details and your other health issues. Explains any concerns you have about your heart condition. Dr. Whitley follows up on your condition.. Has even has her nurse contact me to see how I was doing. We are so fortunate to have her in Rapid City. Her staff is pleasant as well.
Dr. Vaughn-Whitley answers all questions, even those about other problems not dealing with the heart. She is accessible, sympathetic, and never tries to rush me off. She explains reasons behind all her opinions and doesn't talk down to me. Probably the best doctor I've had in all my life. I'm very sad to move away and have to find another cardiologist.
