A short walk from out hotel this DQ had ample seating, quick service and delicious ice cream. Bathrooms available.
We stopped by to grab some ice cream, but the staff told us they didn’t have any available. However, while we were there, a DoorDash delivery driver ahead of us picked up an order that clearly included ice cream. It was disappointing and confusing — it felt like walk-in customers were being turned away while online orders were still being fulfilled.
Sign displayed inside stating they don’t have chocolate ice cream and “aren’t required” to have it. Employees previously stated they haven’t had it for months. What ice cream shop doesn’t have chocolate and can’t simply fix their machine? If you are coming for chocolate ice cream, just stay home or go to the other one in Chesterton nearby.
