They use a horrible Artificial Intelligence drive thru (I’m not anti-AI but it was super slow and had did a terrible job). The fries were either made with old oil or stale or both. The burgers tasted cheaper than McDonald’s. I grew up around here and this Grill and Chill used to be awesome. So sad to see greed take away another thing I used to love.
Wait time in the drive thru was extremely long, over 15 minutes with 2 cars in front of me. My order was one large twist cone. The girl working at the window took my payment then came back with a cone that barely had one inch of ice cream on top and tried to hand it to me. I said it wasn’t my order, I ordered a large. Places a delivery order through the Dairy Queen app and ordered some slushes and soft pretzels. Apparently they were out of pretzels and what did the genius manager decide to do? Substitute it with fries! Even better she didn’t contact me to see if it was ok, she asked the third party delivery driver that was doing the delivery! It was rainy onthe afternoon of July 4th, and it afternoon on the river at St. Charles was canceled as a result. But then we thought of DQ, and a nice cold treat after the week's heat wave days, and hope against hope, headed there, in case on a rainy 4th July Saturday afternoon, they'd actually be open, and ... ...
