Dairy Maid Is Delicious Dairy Maid. This is a south end New Bedford staple. There is long lines here for a reason. I've said it before, for me, ice cream is what it is. But I'm pretty fond of how they do milkshakes and frappes here. Not sure why, but I am. Great spot near the hurrican barrier, and you can cruise off to the beach down Cove Road, or head up and take the back roads to Horseneck. Either way, you've got a good frappe.
