We’ve been coming to Daingerfield’s for 2 1/2 years and have NEVER had a bad meal or experience! Excellent food each time and the Guest Service is top notch!! We come every chance we can and average once a week. Huge Kudos to Chef Michael and to Corrie/Jennifer/Meagan for a wonderful server staff! Thank You!!!!
Outstanding celebration dinner at this beautiful, upscale dining room decorated with original art by Daingerfield. From the valet to the hostess to our amazing server, Brooke, we were treated like royalty. The chilled watermelon soup was delicious. Both the grouper special and my seabass were magazine cover worthy.
Longtime regulars, first time writing a review — and unfortunately not for a good reason. My friends and I have hung out at the Westglow bar for years whenever we’re in town, grabbing burgers and drinks, and always sent guests from our vacation rentals their way. We’ve been loyal guests at Westglow for years, spending significant money there nearly every weekend, and we’ve regularly recommended it to guests staying at our short-term rental properties. Today we were turned away at the door over a new “no shorts” policy the ownership rolled out. To be clear, the staff have always been wonderful, and we feel for them having to enforce a policy this out of touch. We are incredibly disappointed by our recent experience. We’ve spent thousands of dollars here over the years, hosted private birthday events, and have always been loyal customers. To be turned away by the staff because of the opinion of an older owner was both surprising and disheartening. It genuinely felt as though we were being judged for being younger professionals dressed in perfectly appropriate summer attire—collared shirts and khaki shorts—in the middle of tourist season.
