Very difficult to cancel!!! Searched for an on-line option forever. Never found one. Finally called and wasted a bunch more time trying to get through their AI operator that doesn’t respond to your voice responses. After about 10 tries it finally transferred me to a live person who wasted more of my time trying to keep me as a subscriber by giving me offer after offer. Similar complaint as the others. I signed up to support local press, but renewal phone calls started 1 year after. Apparently, they auto-resubscribe accounts, then charge 4x the price of the annual subscription into a weekly basis. They call to collect "past due balances" when it auto-enrolls your account. There is no way to cancel through your account on their site. The agent I spoke to told me their business is offshore in the Philippines. Massively deceptive - DO NOT SUBSCRIBE.
Don’t ever subscribe! Negative Stars I wish would be possible!! It’s impossible to cancel, they use fishing techniques to respond to a written email cancellation with fake questions and offers. If you don’t respond to each offer they keep charging even if you requested the cancellation in the first place.
Warning: DO NOT subscribe to the Daily Breeze! I was a Daily Breeze subscriber for years and enjoyed supporting local journalism. I was generally a happy customer. Back in May, I received an email indicating that they were going to more than double my subscription rate (rising from $10/month to $22/month [which they called $5/week] for digital-only access).
