Local, nice staff, fast service. Best local Japanese place in Austin.
Tbh I'd say it's a 4 star by California and Hawaii standard but in Austin this is definitely 5 star. At least it's authentic Japanese. Let's preserve this place.

We came here looking for ramen - she very politely explained they no longer make it because of limited kitchen space. I was pouty about it, but we decided to stay because we were already eating late and we were starving. We each got a lunch bento box, and I was blown away. My non-fish-liking husband got the broiled mackerel, and loved it - he gave me a bite and it was savory and buttery delicious.
