My friends and I had a marvelous time with Hans and Pedro at our dahoam1516 beer making class. The beer and food were delicious. We were treated with great hospitality and my husband, who uses a wheelchair, was accompanied in every way possible. Their playful creativity made this a fun experience for us all.

Five stars for Dahoam in Alameda! We attended a gardening event and my kids loved it so much we signed up for more. It’s a welcoming, neighborly space that offers a bit of everything. I even took a brewing class and realized it’s much more approachable than I thought! It’s rare to find a non-profit that engages both kids and adults so effectively. We’ll definitely be regulars. +points for being in Alameda, being bikable and near bus stops, free street parking, refreshing beverages, being a non-profit and just being awesome ... read more

Love this little gem. The garden is lovely any time of the year. The cooking classes offered are Bavarian centric,think sausage,schnitzel,Ghoulash. The seasonal classes have included christmas cookies,chocolate Easter eggs )even a pickling class for all that extra zucchini!!! This is a wonderful experience for all ages.

Dahoam1516 is a great community space in Alameda focused on hands-on brewing classes, cooking workshops, and food culture. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, the instructors really know their stuff, and the experience feels collaborative rather than commercial. If you’re looking for brewing classes, cooking events, or a unique community spot in Alameda, this place is absolutely worth checking out.

Had a great time! Went with two friends. Food was yummy, tasted many beers and found my favorite. Hans was enjoyable to talk with and so welcoming. Learned a bit of history including a grain war.
