My friends and I had a marvelous time with Hans and Pedro at our dahoam1516 beer making class. The beer and food were delicious. We were treated with great hospitality and my husband, who uses a wheelchair, was accompanied in every way possible. Their playful creativity made this a fun experience for us all.

Had a great time! Went with two friends. Food was yummy, tasted many beers and found my favorite. Hans was enjoyable to talk with and so welcoming. Learned a bit of history including a grain war.

Five stars for Dahoam in Alameda! We attended a gardening event and my kids loved it so much we signed up for more. It’s a welcoming, neighborly space that offers a bit of everything. I even took a brewing class and realized it’s much more approachable than I thought! It’s rare to find a non-profit that engages both kids and adults so effectively. Dahoam1516 is a great community space in Alameda focused on hands-on brewing classes, cooking workshops, and food culture. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, the instructors really know their stuff, and the experience feels collaborative rather than commercial. If you’re looking for brewing classes, cooking events, or a unique community spot in Alameda, this place is absolutely worth checking out.

Had a great time at the inaugural Pints & Play game night! Cozy atmosphere, good company, tasty noshes and excellent home brew beer (non-alcoholic beverages also available). Will definitely do it again.
