Heelan is the best!! I discovered MKP Salon (now D-Rock) when I was living in Ridgewood by Windsor and I'm so glad I listened to my gut! Heelan does an amazing job and is the sweetest, nicest person. I'm very low maintenance when it comes to my hair and often procrastinate when it comes to haircuts (I often get a haircut once a year, this time it was six months) when it comes to my haircuts (either go with a basic trim or layers, recently it's been layers). It's always a great experience. From the front desk staff to the massage chairs while having your hair washed, to the cleanliness of the salon, to the beautiful decor that makes you feel zen and the great skills of Don. I have lived in Virginia for 19 years now and had yet to find someone who knew how to cut my very curly hair. Every place I have gone to would make my hair uneven because they didn't know how to deal with curly hair. Don is so great at what he does. I HIGHLY recommend this salon.

Fernanda is the best! I followed her to this salon years ago and she is the best colorist and stylist. She really listens to what you want and will encourage you to be bold or stay safe. She never lets me do anything crazy if she knows I am having an off day and making a rash decision about my hair. I lost a lot of my hair due to Covid and menopause.
