I trashed the head in my MR2. D&R was recommended to me. I was VERY impressed by the friendly help I received. I actually ended up abandoning the engine and didn't have them do any machining (just an inspection on what the head would need), but I was so impressed I had to leave a review.
Just got my head machined and valves installed and they did great work. Fast service, clean shop, and great communication. Will definitely be back in the future.
D&R do incredible work here with quite possibly the best customer service I have ever seen. I had dropped off a cylinder head for resurfacing, valve grinding, cleaning, & installation of new valve guides. I had provided them with valve guides that were an incorrect size, and they swiftly notified me of the issue so I could correct it. I cannot say enough good things about D&R. Rest in peace Dave.
Outstanding customer service!! Came in as a newbie to building engines and they gave me all sorts of pointers and advice. Wait time is excellent, gave me a call saying they could squeeze me in sooner and Got my 6.0 built in less than 2 weeks and made my block look like brand new. They have very fair pricing and tones of options do choose from. Not a lot of shops to choose from coming from cedar falls/waterloo area so the drive was totally worth it. Will definitely come back with many more of my projects to come
