Despite being a quintessential small-town family business seemingly without malicious intent, my recent experience with D & L Automotive Repair left much to be desired. Lured in by a deceptively reasonable quote and the allure of the NAPA-affiliated logo, I found myself regrettably ensnared in a web of disappointment. I took my truck in for a new alternator, they got it done and gave me two prices, a cash price with no receipt and a “normal” price, the difference was $160 with the cash price being $800 and the other being $960. Their breakdown was that the alternator was $700 which put them making about $100 an hour in labor, alright that makes sense.
