Nice little historical museum worth to stop by while in the area, especially in a good weather to enjoy 5 locks path walk.
The D&H Canal Museum is a nice small museum located in High Falls, NY. The museum displays the history of the D&H Canal through artifacts and interactive exhibits. The Five Locks Walk trailhead is located right outside the museum and is a nice stroll through history. The walk adds a lot to what is in the museum and it is cool to see the actual locks that the canal used. Absolutely fantastic! The lady who was working was an absolute gem! We are local but I haven’t been to the museum in years and it was fantasy to see the child friendly activities to learn! I lived the scavenger hunt even as an adult it was great!
Well done story of an interesting time in American history.
