We were so happy about retiring to The Hideout in the Poconos, Lake Ariel. Good friends built a home with D&D years ago and it was / is absolutely beautiful, with everything of superb quality. We expected the same but were utterly disappointed to the extent that we had to move. We had hoped to spend the rest of our lives in the home but could not even manage 2 full years. Not a home builder but is a general contractor who sells modular homes. They contracts the work out to various other contractors. They were not very cooperative is keeping us informed at different stages of the project. we had a number of confrontations via phone. They have never visited or followed up as to our satisfaction. I am pleased with the quality of the modular home built by Manaford Homes but not pleased with d &d home builders. I would not recommend them.
