We moved into an old/new house to us in November 2024, with a Rayburn heating system which we had no idea how to work. We found a D Clarke sticker on the door and phoned them for advice as the previous owners had used them for years for servicing and maintenance. D Clarke sent out an engineer who didn’t hardly look at the oven/heating system and deemed it was scrap and needed to be pulled out with out even opening a door and charged us £60 for the pleasure. Stay clear folks
Absolutely useless, booked to have my gas fire serviced, got a phone call from someone in the office 20 mins before he was due to arrive to tell me he's held up at a big job and not actually going to do gas fire servicing anymore and I should get someone else. Would have been great to be told that at the time of first contact 3 weeks ago, instead booked and paid £120 for a gas canister to be delivered last week in preparation for the gas fire to be serviced and lit today. Expensive! I was charged £150 for the 15 minute job of replacing the boiler thermostat. Online the thermostat is priced at about £40.
