Our 31 ft. cruising trawler had some hydraulic and electrical issues on our arrival to guest moorage in Vancouver BC. As the boat’s steering system was involved, and as the problems were beyond my ability to diagnose and repair, it was very important to get some professional assistance. He quoted me for 30 hours at $100/h to clean out 3 carburetors on my 2 stroke outboard motor. I instead took it to a guy in Langley who did it in less than 2hrs at $150 a carb. I can't believe there are bad mechanics like this who prey on the public. SCAMS!
What a S%*# show. Don't take you boat or trailer here unless you want to be ghosted for a month and out of the blue get a call at 7am demanding you to pick it up because it is on the road without being repaired. TERRIBLE. :( 4 thumbs down if I had more hands.
