Desserts Cyrano's has been around since I was in high school. It used to be located across from the Cheshire Inn and had the most marvelous desserts. Cyrano's still has marvelous desserts, but has since moved to Webster Groves and now also offers sandwiches. It is a little pricey - always was - but what a fantastic place for a date.
Cleopatra (Ice Cream, Rum, Bananas, Strawberries, Chocolate Shell, Whipped Creametc.) and the Bread Pudding are worth traveling there for. Wonderful!!!
I remember the desserts at Cyrano's from when I was a kid...and they are still just as good. Very cozy atmosphere and good food.
A little pricey but neat place - 'eclectic' – Had a mid-afternoon lunch about 1.5 months ago. I would definitely go back. Was a little slow on service but our food was good. It really does have potential to be much more.
I Keep Hoping – I've eaten at Cyrano's many times. Every time I return I hope that they might have gotten just a bit more enthusiastic about their clientele. The place has such potential. In fact I met my husband at Cyranos so what could be more special than returning to Cyranos to eat our wedding dinner? We even told the help at Cyranos the significance of our dinning there that evening. So-so, yet pricey food; Nice dessert – You know there's a problem when your dessert portion is as big as your main entree. I had the steak and it was barely the size of a hamburger patty. My wife had the pork tenderloin, and we shared the pan-seared tuna appetizer. Now, she's the type who usually gets full after only a few bites, yet both of us were sitting there hungry after these three dishes, when we should be satisfied and savoring the taste. Not what I expected... – I had a nice time here. The atmosphere is fun. There is no smoking, so I enjoyed that. The main focus of this place is on the desserts. Our meals were small, although not inexpensive and I think they were good quality. Our dessert was big (they all come out with this mass of whip cream on top), but I'd prefer something smaller that was better tasting. It was just a bunch of ice cream with whip cream (out of a can). Go for dessert – While the small bites of food I had were tasty, this place should really be portrayed as a dessert place only. The only reason my family and I have ever gone to Cyrano's in its old location before it closed and now in its new location is for the humongous chocolate clepatras. These are total sensory indulgences of chocolate and ice cream. A St. Louis Must.
