Worth noting: my experience was from several years ago now, so maybe this has changed since. While my experience with her wasn't terrible, per-se, she completely failed to recognize the numerous signs of me living in an unsafe environment, leading to things getting worse over time until she eventually dropped me as a client when I started suspecting more things wrong with me than was true due to gaslighting at home.

So far we have only had one visit, but even so, we are both impressed by her logic and understanding. Glad we found her--as not all marriage counselors (Tri cities) are worth going to. PS I was worried about making our appointment--as the weather was turning bad. Receptionist stated you need 48 hours to cancel, BUT you can call last minute (if necessary) and setup a zoom meeting instead. This works for me.

First of all I am only giving Cynthia benson 1 star because of the fact that I asked her to please do a one time exception since I was asking her to please reschedule me due to the Inclement weather in the tri cities when it snowed and all of the streets were I lived were horrible and very dangerous . I live by the badger mountain area so that should explain how we’re the last ones to be considered for plow trucks . Anyway, There was no way out especially with the type of vehicle that I have. Cynthia was only willing to help 1 person in the relationship, say whatever that person wants to hear, coach how to power fight and keep the counseling ever running. I gave a couple months of patience, only to find my husband gets more resistant, more reluctant and more passive about almost everything than even before going to her. I then request to have individual sessions with her too, and later to have joint sessions so that she can help glue the relationship. She refused to do that.
