Bought new kingfisher last year, took it in for 1st service with 9am appointment, it didn't even move till after lunch, got the boat back at 4pm! Why have appointments ? Its a 20 minute job, and charge 400 bucks to do it, Its got indmar engine, so they sell me volvo penta filter according to the bill, 20 $, I just took out a baldwin filter, its 10 $ , but the recept says volvo penta , yet I took out baldwin , anyways I wont be bringing it back, they sell indmar ,it had indmar filters but can't even get me indmar filters for ... read more
I rarely if ever write a review on any thing but felt I had to share my experience with others so they to aren't taken advantage of. I recently took a 9.9 yamaha motor to them as it wasn't idaling . Engine was tested and carburetor cleaned and replaced along with new spark plugs which resolved the problem. I was told oil was dirty so I had the shop change the oil and bottom end fluids while it was in the shop. Turn around time was great and engine was ready to pick up in just a few days.
