Shawn tuned my 2013 NightRod Special with V+H competition pipe, K+N AF and HD SERTP and now it runs like the beast this bike is meant to be. He knows what he is doing with a dyno and tuning. This is a mom and pa shop that is pretty cluttered up and grimy filthy. Bikes appear to be left outside due to a lack of space inside? The several mechanics I saw seemed happy working there and appeared competent. Shawn shows diversity with his hiring and has black mechanics, at least while I was there. I'm sure CC does great work and Sh... read more

I had a very experience with Shawn at Cycle Connection. Cycle Connection does it again with the new Harley Davidson performance street package with outstanding horsepower and phenomenol torque. I hope that you have it because if you don't I will see you at the finish line. Thanks again Shawn

I was just reading previous reviews and realized that some people should go to a psychiatrist and not abike mechanic to fix our problems or better yet get a gun and do us all a favor...I met Shawn back when he working Buckeystown and I had a problem with my motorcycle that no one else could seem to fix.I have been to just about every shop and dealership in this area and Cycle Connection is only place I will bring my bikes for now on to get fixed. I have had little repairs and major engine overhauls..I have always been a happ... read more

Wow! The guy is rude, dishonest and billed me for more than his quote (beware of his made-up fees to justify this). They handed my bike back to me in a condition that didn't work properly but didn't tell me that. But he's happy to have me to pay more money to fix the problem. I'm an easy going guy and tried to talk to him but he's a loose canon. I should have seen it coming because while I was waiting for my bike another customer stormed out of the shop mad at them. Hope to help others by my unfortunate experience.

Shawn may be able to tune an engine, but in my opinion, he is a terrible businessman. I had an electrical problem in my bike. He said he could fix it and make some other repairs the bike needed. While he was working on it, he lost the right side cover from the bike on a test ride. I found a replacement side cover on eBay and Shawn agreed match the custom paint for me. After a couple of months, he had me come get the bike without the side cover on it, and it broke down on the way home. More weeks went by. They said it was rea... read more

This is the only shop in the DC area that will get my business. I've been going to Cycle Connection now for last 6 years. There customers service is second to none! Shawn has worked on all my Motorcycle (06 ZX-14, 07 Gixxer 1000, 07 R1, 09 R1, and 11 S1000rr). He is the only person I trust out of all these Motorcycle shops in the DMV area, which they will just take your money, and provide a horrible service. Cycle Connection does ECU tuning, and it complete transforms the motorcycle. It's such a joy to have him work on my mo... read more

I brought my brand new Zx 10 to Shawn after I had taken it somewhere else and had it butchered to say the least. There were parts missing, scratches, and I did not trust the work that was done, so I took it apart and found a nightmare to say the least. Point being I was very hesitant to take it to anyone else because of what took place. I worked hard and saved for 3 years to buy the bike. And in one swoop that was taken away from me. I called Rose who took countless hours not only apologizing for what someone else did, but t... read more

I had a 1981 GS450 flatbedded to their shop on a Saturday morning with no appointment. Another shop had rebuilt the carbs & I was unable to adjust them to work. Since I had no ride home, they gave me priority and spent 4 hours trying to get it right. It is tough working on someting that another shop did incorrectly. Yet, they significantly reduced their hourly rate and presented me with a bill that was far less than expected. Quality of the job was excellent. A a family run business that truly cares about their customers.

This establishment epitomizes the values of unreliability, evasiveness and refusal to honor one's word. My motorcycle was damaged to to the actions of an employee at this facility in late oct/early nov 2008. Since then, despite promises to do so, the management has adamantly refused to order the replacement parts required. Go there at your own risk.
