Very friendly staff, reasonable prices and very fast bike build.
Had some difficulties with the brakes on a new bike purchased here, but after some back and forth they took care of everything. They even noticed issues I hadn't, and reached out to the manufacturer to have it covered under warranty. I love the bike aside from that, and working with David is always a good experience.
I would not recommend purchasing from or servicing a bike here. Summary: I had repeated issues with a new bike's brakes, purchased from them, and it took far too long for a half measure resolution that I had to partially pay for. Also was overcharged for quoted parts. The full story: I bought a bike they recommended, ~$2000 purchase. ~2 weeks later, I start noticing brake issues and bring it in. As a local, these owners are known to me. I’ll be following up with them directly when I next see them. This was, hands down, the worst retail moment I’ve ever experienced. I walked in this morning and the place was absolutely rank with body odor. I’ll save the rest of the play by play for the owners in person, but we got the message loud and clear that the “fix it” man was clearly upset that his quiet morning of sobering up and fixing bikes had been disrupted by someone trying to buy two bikes. My wife and I just had an unforgettable time bicycling to the Mendenhall glacier. Cycle Alaska was very easy to book with prior to our arrival. The bikes were ready when we arrived. Connor couldn’t have been more pleasant to work with and was very knowledgeable about the rides in the area. Crossed every T and dotted the I’s. The bicycles were top notch. I highly recommend this business if you plan on cycling in Juneau Alaska.
