Cycle Alaska was simultaneously professional and laid-back. They treated me like my LBS (local bike shop) and it was/is super appreciated! I called in the morning and was able to rent a bike in my size for that same day! Mario was the incredibly helpful, patient, and kind guy that worked with me, and I am grateful (thumbs-up emoji) I'm not savvy enough to attach photos to this review (I got some great ones!) Aug 2, 2025, our 45th Wedding anniversary, we Flew to Juneau from Phoenix to escape the heat for 4 days. No Cruise, No rushing, just spent 4 days in Juneau. Decided to E-Bike to The Mendenhall Glacier. Found Cycle Alaska and spoke to "Wes" about where to go and what to see. Wes was very helpful and gave us a great itinerary to explore on our own as we were not interested in a tour. We rented the bikes for 8 hours and left the next morning at 8:30am. Below you will find my review, the owners response, and also my work order receipts from cycle Alaska to prove David (the owner) is lying when he says his shop didn’t touch my bike. It paints a picture of the integrity of this shop and its owner. My business with cycle Alaska was that they were going to sell my bicycle on consignment. READ THE OWNERS RESPONSE AND LOOK AT THE PICTURES! They packaged my bicycle incorrectly which meant I wasn't able to take it on my flight. As a solution, I paid the owner to mail me my bike. He spent an entire month talking about what a tedious process it was to get done. I wanted to give him the chance to make it happen, especially since I paid him... but it never happened. I called UPS and in 20 minutes I had my bike arranged for pickup within 24 hours, and had my bike home within 4 days. I have never in my life seen such ... read more
