The pharmacist at the Goleta Target location, Lina, went the extra mile and was extremely helpful in navigating a seriously difficult situation concerning my wife’s prescription on 12/16. My wife’s complex prescription had encountered a systematic error on the final day of her deadline and was unable to go through as originally planned. The pharmacist was unprofessional and didn't seem to know what they were doing regarding CVS policies. They almost refused to give me medication because they were annoyed by things outside of my control -- pretty immature behavior. The pharmacist, Lina, also refused to give medication to someone else who was in line next to me because their prescriber was in Los Angeles, and that they "didn't know them (the doctor)". I think this pharmacy receives more orders than it is equipped to handle. Pharmacies tend to have low reviews. This suggests a systemic problem. However, some places are able to show understanding and empathy in response to the frustrations of people who lack infinite time. The people coming to the pharmacy are typically having their own struggles, and are themselves dealing with problematic healthcare systems.
