My husband & I directly ask pharmacy tech what the self pay rate was for a particular drug vs the insurance co-pay. She said it was the same. I asked her if she would check & she said she was sure. When leaving the store I looked it up & found we could have got for $60 cheaper. It is upsetting that the tech did not care enough to assist the customer in getting the best service possible. I can understand why they do not volunteer this information, but to refuse to verify when specifically asked is upsetting.
