Heather is not only a wonderful seamstress—she is a wonderful person! I never had stress going into any of my appointments because I not only trusted her, but felt very comfortable voicing my opinions/wants as a bride. She does absolutely excellent work! Her studio is out of her home and yet it feels like a high-end, luxurious experience. I could not recommend her enough!! ❤️
I cannot recommend Custom Sewing by Heather enough! Heather’s creativity and attention to detail are unmatched. She created a custom bustle for my wedding dress that was not only beautiful and seamless, but also functional enough for me to ski in my dress! She truly helped bring my dream and vision to life while making sure my dress was secure, comfortable, and perfect for our wedding day.
Heather fit me in after an unexpected proposal and as I made decisions in short timeline for an ‘elopement.’. It was fun to work with her. She has a professional approach and well-run business. I was in a flurry of preparations but every time I entered her fitting studio, I felt calm. I knew at least one aspect of the wedding was under control!! She was so kind. Heather worked on both complete alterations for my dress and shortening my mother’s wedding dress to wear at my rehearsal dinner. She was professional, courteous, and very efficient - she said “yes” to every idea I came to her with and I couldn’t be more grateful!!
Heather at Custom Sewing is truly amazing. After the bridal store I purchased my dress from completely messed up my custom gown—leaving it missing all of the appliqués from the top down to the ribs and the wrong appliqués ribs to waist—I was devastated. I came to Heather with a partially finished dress, the appliqués, and a vision of what it was supposed to look like. Heather not only understood my vision, she brought it to life perfectly.
