The pieces I have from this designer and seamstress are going strong after 10 years and still look brand new. She does excellent work, especially for nobles and other cast members of several Renaissance Faires around the country.
She made my wedding gown in 2007, and I've worn it to every renaissance festival ever since!
Kathleen refused to create a costume with swastikas and confederate flag as I requested.
Kathleen is awesome! She's made a couple custom vests and a frock coat for me that are exactly what I had asked for. She kept in touch with me throughout the process, answered all my questions in a timely fashion and finished all the work on time. They all fit perfectly! If you are looking for awesome, well made Renaissance or pirate garb, I would highly recommend Custom Designs!
Great work on bridesmaids dresses I had Kathy do a bridesmaid dress for me last year and she did such a fabulous job, she was of course my first call when I needed another one done for this summer! She is very quick, but not because she rushes...you can tell it's quality work! The first dress was to fit over my "baby bump" and she made it comfortable, yet it still looked how the dress was supposed to. This dress I needed taken in and she did a wonderful job and it fits great!
formal dress alterations She does AMAZING work. I ordered a dress online that was the size of a circus ten! HUGE, but Kathy took her time and i'm pretty sure she took my whole dress apart just to put it back together again but it looks amazing. You can tell she loves her work by how good she does, If I need anything altered she will defently be my first call.
