I have now ended my 13 years relationship using Curwen Walker Lawyers to undertake my property conveyancing needs. Conveyancing that was handled by knowledgeable and service driven Lawyers is now performed by a paralegal who's work was rife with omissions, errors, who lies and back peddles when exposed and even insists that a VCAT civil property order written by the Tribunal's Senior Member is a Family Law Order written by private lawyers. s32 incomplete, contract had to be re-written due to wrong information despite being g... read more

Would highly recommend working with another company, especially if you are after conveyancing services. Overpriced compared to other companies in the area doing the same work. Communication was poor and I was not notified of important information until the last minute, leaving little to no time to action or even ask questions if it seemed incorrect or was unexpected. I used to work in association with John years ago and he's a great guy who cared about his clients. HOW THINGS HAVE CHANGED, since he retired! We been trying to get a simple issue sorted out for over a month with no joy at all. Poor understanding of the issue and continuous non-return of phone calls. Go somewhere else! And yet another day goes by with a promise of a phone call back, but surprise-surprise, no one called...... All particularly disappointing when we're asking them to assist with a mistake that they made!
