Dr. Young is beyond amazing. He is top notch and this is reflected by his work. He is crazy busy because he is excellent at what he does. Please don't listen to these negative reviews. Most of these people feel disrespected because they self diagnosed from internet searches and think they are somehow more qualified than a true expert. Dr. Young performed a proximal row carpectomy. after I came to and was taken home, the nurses called to make sure that I take my pain killers before midnight because the pain would be unbearabl... read more

Do not listen to any negative reviews about this doctor- he is great! Granted, I had to wait weeks for referral appointment, and day of my visit he was very busy -wait for him to see me was over an hour. But it was all worth it. I found him to be very pleasant, caring and thorough. Did not rush, answered all my questions and best of all, he did not recommend surgery or even joint injections which I was dreading. Gave me all the facts and tips how to control/manage my arthritis, supplements included. Both him and his assistan... read more

Stupidly cut my left index finger at the middle joint, severing the extensor and lateral tendons, rendering my finger unusable. In OR six days after injury. After eight weeks in a splint and without function, I began OT for two months. Now, six months post-injury, I have full range of motion and functionality of my finger, when it was originally not guaranteed to have that much. It is a bit stiff after non-use (after sleeping), but a few minutes of flexion and extension, and it is good for the rest of the day. I only met Dr.... read more

Dr. Young is the best hand surgeon in the tri-city area. I don’t care about his “bedside manner” or how the office staff behaves. I want a surgeon who is the best in his field. He patiently listened while I asked a multitude of questions about alternatives to surgery and explained why the treatment he proposed is the one he routinely uses. I had thumb joint replacement (LRTI) and he did an excellent job. I would never go to anyone else and strongly recommend Dr. Young.

I haven't seen Dr. Young since 2015. I swore I'd never go back. His staff was less than friendly and Dr. Young was way too arrogant & just plain rude for my tastes. I swore I'd never go back. Well, 7 yrs. later I had no choice but to see him again. What a difference in almost all aspects. The staff couldn't be nicer and Dr. Young's attitude is greatly improved. He was polite and matter of fact (which is good) about my fingers. He explained carefully & thoroughly my issues and detailed the surgery I would need. I had no quest... read more

I received a referral to Dr. Young from my primary care physician on May 18. After waiting a week, I called Dr Young’s office to make an appt. I was told it would take 2 to 3 weeks to get an appointment. JUST TO GET AN APPOINTMENT? So I waited three weeks and called back. They said they didn’t have a referral - “if it was sent by ‘e-something’, they don’t accept those types of referrals”. I called my primary care physician and had them call Dr Young’s office directly. So I waited another week and once again called Dr. Young’... read more

I am experiencing fantastic results from surgery that Dr. Young performed on my wrist 5 years ago. My hand and wrist function are superb, as though the fracture never even happened. The office staff was extremely helpful in coordinating office appointments as I was traveling from out of town and had fractured my ankle in the same accident. Since that time, I have watched two close friends experience significantly problematic treatment following similar breaks -- different physicians, different cities, and very different outc... read more
