This is a so called treatment facility. It’s money grab at best. From the moment my son arrived he was pushed to take medication, but worse he was asked what medication he wanted. When he refused the medication the Dr (psychiatrist) did not give him the time of the day. He was scheduled 3 weekly sessions, each session lasted a whole of 2 mins each, the Dr walked in, said “you all good, need any medication, when are you leaving” then walked out. While the staff are absolutely lovely, their program for mental health is crap. If you're detoxing, yeah you get the meds, but the group classes are not good. A workbook is all you get, people will walk out during classes, and you're forced into the mental health sessions to earn outside time, which means you're allowed to leave the premise. Dogs. Won’t even help a court case. The place is purely profit orientated and doesn’t give a tosss about its clients
Not happy at all, charge so much but don't really help the patients me as a councelor could have done a better job, if people come in for addiction feel they don't get treated for addiction. Don't know how you still going know of 3 people that are worse off after coming out.
They don’t have time to let you know your psych is no longer practicing clinically, but they certainly have time to chase pre payments for appointments. Bit of a joke, but that seems to be the consensus on Currumbin these days. POV: you’re in the worst time post Partum for the second time, your psych is aware as they saw you crumble the first time.
