The only thing made my experience good were. They were amazing… however the food is horrid, bed is tiny and uncomfortable. The facility definitely needs an upgrade.
If you’re a veteran looking for mental health support, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. I want to start by acknowledging the nurses. In my experience, they were genuinely caring, professional and doing their best while dealing with an incredibly challenging environment. I find the staff are brilliant and the facility clean and well kept. Processes could improve but group work is very informative
I recently received a referral from my psychiatrist for dual-diagnosis treatment for addiction and PTSD. A staff member from the clinic contacted me regarding the referral, though I did not get his name. During the call, I explained that I was apprehensive about attending treatment away from my family and was unsure about proceeding. I would not recommend this facility based on my family’s experience. From the moment my son was admitted, medication appeared to be the primary focus of his treatment. He was asked what medication he wanted, and when he declined medication, he felt that the psychiatrist showed little interest in addressing the reasons he had sought treatment.
