I highly do not recommend this place especially for your own family members. This place is not what they say they are because my dad was living here for a while before he passed away and I don't think he was getting the help he needed nor was he being cared for well enough. The food he was given was not good for him due to his own diet and he wasn't given any good treatment either. I have never in my life seen a medical facility that NEVER EVER answers the telephone..how is that?? I called there on this afternoon (spoke to a lady name Rosalia) who i asked to please go to my family members room to let them know I was trying to contact them because it was emergent(AND Ilive out of state)..I was willing to hold on to see if the message was delivered, but instead was told "her room is down the hall"..i dont know what that was supposed to mean because I didnt ask where her room was, and the reason was to en... read more

We have had a truly wonderful experience with Currituck Health and Rehab. The staff is caring, attentive, and treats residents with genuine kindness and respect. The administration has also been great to work with — responsive, supportive, and compassionate. Holly the Social Services Director (and Tilly!) have been especially amazing. My dad had passed and instead of calling me to tell me he had died they called the hospice nurse who in turn called me to say that if I wanted to say goodbye I should come. Under the pretense that he was still alive. We left immediately thinking he was alive. When we got there he had passed and had been dead for hours before they had even called us. Everyone I have had contact with have had my father in laws best interest at heart, they are caring and are very accommodating from the front office staff to housekeeping and maintenance.
