Curamericas Global is an amazing organization that has been very effective in reducing the rates of child and maternal mortality across the globe. They focus on bringing primary health care to areas of limited access and have been very successful in their endeavors. The work that they do is incredible and I am proud to say that I'm a part of it.
The commitment Curamericas Global has to maternal and child health in communities that are under-served, and largely forgotten about, is truly admirable. I had the privilege of interning at their office in Raleigh in spring 2017 and had such a great experience getting to know the dedicated team they have and learn about their work. I love the work Curamericas is doing with their Casas Maternas project and taking a cultural approach to birthing and giving maternal care to women in Guatemala. They have been very helpful in giving me medical information on the current treatment methods they use within these communities. I encourage people to help Curamericas so they can continue their mission!
I love the work that Curamericas does! Inspiring work, most specifically because they have projects in my home country, Kenya and increasing women and child freedoms in the health sector. Diversity is not only reflected in the projects but also in the team. Great people and impactful work!
Amazing people with compassion who spare no effort to bring health to individuals who would otherwise be forgotten. Just imagine: you are sick or in labor and there is no doctor or even nurse available. Curamericas Global turns this anxiety into hope.
My time spent as a summer intern at Curamericas Global was nothing short of excellent.
