If at all possible avoid doing business with CUMIS Insurance Society, Inc. May 27, 2021 while leaving the local State Employees Credit Union I was knocked down on the hard tile floor by the opening of a heavy door. I’ve spent over $12,000 in medical treatments, I still suffer pain every day. CUMIS has not reimbursed me one cent. They have lied and cheated this entire time. Took disability insurance coverage out on every loan through my credit for the past 20 years and they use CUNA for their disability insurance carrier. I have never made even a single claim. Had an injury that required surgery. They denied the claim saying it was a pre-existing condition. Super slow to process the claim. I had to keep calling and took nearly 6 weeks to find out it was just going to be denied. What a waste of money for 20 years.
