If humiliation is your thing, then Still Waters is for you. When we pulled into the property, a guy was walking around with a toilet seat around his head (not by choice). That was all I needed to see. I left within 30 minutes. Early sobriety carries enough shame as is. SAMHSA specifically denounces this practice as increasing the potential for relapse. There is no way that this facility should have a license.
I can’t say enough about the care our family received at Cumberland Heights and Still Waters. My son went there for treatment, and it truly changed his life. From the very beginning, the staff showed compassion, professionalism, and a commitment to helping him heal. Don't believe the naysayers. This place is truly an experience unlike any other. To some, who have a hard time following directions, or respecting authority, (which is probably why they are in an addiction treatment center), then this may be a hard time for them. Or it may just be exactly what they need. Or both. I highly recommend Stillwater's. This is a true deep dive into the steps and it just may save your life and show you a better way to live.
