I purchased the Palissade chairs from Cult Design in Sydney, Australia. These chairs are designed to be outdoors. Because we live not too far from the coast, the chairs are covered when not in use, we wash down chairs weekly with soapy water and stow inside when not in use or during extended periods. On a few of the chairs, it appears rust has formed at soldering points. They have beautiful light fittings - exactly what we needed!
My husband and I bought two beautiful pendants from Cult. Service was absolutely terrible. It took away from the experience of buying something very precious to us. We’ve been to the shop 4 times due to errors on their end which has been frustrating and time consuming. Communication was neither honest nor efficient. Staff seem to refuse to actually help you in store and always defer and obfuscate, saying they will follow up over email. They do follow up via email, but only to perpetuate the mistakes. Bought a $6,000 sofa from Cult via HAY (a brand they sell). Less than a year in, the fabric’s already deteriorating. When we raised it in-store, the person helping us said it was basically our fault for choosing an ‘accessible’ brand and said we bought into the ‘marketing’. Not sure in what world $6k is accessible, or how that’s customer service.
I have been such a long term customer and lover of Cult until recently. I had a Zanotta velvet sofa delivered in March. It arrived with a fault and I was assured by the company that a new cushion would be ordered immediately. I followed up by phone and email to confirm this had been done. 6 months later it hadn’t arrived from Italy and so I chased again.
