If I could give 0 stars, I would! No one here is friendly! Only received short, rude responses, even from leadership. I called 10 times, no one answered and didn’t receive a call back until two weeks later… when they finally answer, they’re rude! After telling the supervisor my complaint, the FIRST thing she said was “she (the previous rep) wasn’t wrong” instead of apologizing for the inconvenience. Never thought I said it, but if you have an option, go with Ameren!
I notice the many bad reviews and would like to share my experience and shed some light on what others can do to hopefully improve the situation. I as of today have had two bad experiences with Cuivre River. The first time the issue was corrected but the fact that it happened period was crazy. I moved to an area in Missouri from Illinois and found out we had to use some company named Cuivre River Electric instead of Ameren. Electric went out, can’t get any information because it’s not in my name but I pay it?
TERRIBLE! MY BILL WENT FROM $130-$150 TO $322-$350 IN DECEMBER AND JANUARY, Granted, place isnt thst weathering, but they shut off the power on the 24th of February, i wouldnt afford $728 in electric, so I asked for help and a church helped out with $300 so got it down to $428, mind you it gets dark FAST groceries go bad FAST AND Cuivre River closes accounts FAST. THEY close the account so now I either have to pay over fourteen hundred dollars or prepay over seven hundred dollars, YAY what a bunch of crooks!! Hooray!!
