I recently completed a review for Cube Smart but it was for the wrong location. My Cube is here at the Arvada location and I do appreciate the staff here. Sam was very friendly and professional. He made the process simple. The staff here at the Arvada location are great.
I don’t leave reviews often, but these guys deserve a shout out. There has been all kinds of unforeseen issues here lately (door system broken, elevators out etc) and I know people weren’t happy. I personally witnessed Sam being berated by other customers on more than one occasion… but he always handled himself in a professional manner. A negative experience overall. Two main issues arose over the 18 months I was a customer. First, I was concerned that the rental rate increased after a few months. I inquired, "How can these rates increase like this, once I've invested in moving all my stuff in here?" The manager explained that CubeSmart is a short term rental business and they raise rates to incrementally to discourage long-term rentals. That would've been nice to know from the beginning. Rent went up $50 after 3 months. Carts are always broken. The keypad has been broken for a month and my unit was broken into between January 2nd and January 19th by someone that can pick the locks. Inside job? Alot was taken. I have reported it to the police.
